Lois W. Barker, 79, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016.
Born Oct. 26, 1936 in Paulton, Ill., she was a daughter of Wayne McKinney and Maxine (Maynard) Grounds.
She married Paul Raymond Barker Sept. 30, 1955 in East Alton. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2014. She took care of their home, and later in life, she owned a commercial cleaning business.
Survivors include her mother, Maxine Grounds of Godfrey; her son, David (Maggie) Barker of East Alton; two daughters, Diana (Rev. Randy) Bryant and Robin (Steve) Faison, all of Vero Beach, Fla.; 5 grandchildren, Paul and his wife Beth, Rachel, Emily, Abigail and Michael; two great grandchildren, Lily and Daisy; and her sister, Verla (Bill) Moyer of Alton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22 at Peace Freewill Baptist Church in Pontoon Beach from 5 until services begin at 7 p.m. Rev. Randy Bryant will officiate.
Private burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
