Carl Roe

Carl Edward Roe, 74, passed away at 7:42 am Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side.He was born in Hahn, MO on April 22, 1941, to Truman and Ruby (Long) Roe.Carl married Margaret (Ross) on June 1, 1963 in Meadowbrook.  She survives.Carl served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was employed at LaClede Steel Co. in Alton retiring as a supervisor.  He was a past worshipful Master of Bethalto AF & AM Masonic Lodge #406 and an Ainad Shriner.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Brighton, one son, Dion Roe of Brighton and a brother and sister-in-law Henry and Judy Roe of Meadowbrook, 2 grandchildren, Darian Roe of Brighton, and Ian and Karlie Roe, of Panama City, FL.Carl was preceded in death by his Parents Truman and Ruby Roe, his two brothers Donny and Bill  Roe, his sisters Dorothy Estes, Jean  Helden, and Jane Silas.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf in Bethalto, with a Masonic Rites service at 7 pm by the Bethalto Masonic Lodge # 406.Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 with Chaplain Randy Butler officiating.Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL with Military Burial Rites provided by Alton VFW #1308.Memorials may be made to: Shriner’s Hospital for Children.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com and www.facebook.com/eliaskallalandschaaf.
