Paul Cummines

Paul A. Cummines, 67, passed away at 6:26pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Alton Memorial Hospital.  He was born on December 3, 1948, in Godfrey the son of the late Paul H. and Cornelia (Norris) Cummines.  Survivors include four daughters and three sons in law: Paula and Eddie Rappel of Brighton, Chrissy and David Draper of Bethalto, Michelle and Rick Plumb of Godfrey, Missy Cummines and her boyfriend: Jimmy Waters of East Alton, two sons: Paul Cummines of Shipman, Pat Cummines of Godfrey, twenty two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister and brother in law: Patsy and Fred Anthony of White Hall, Illinois. 

He was formerly employed as an operator at Olin Winchester for over 25 years prior to his retirement.  He was a member of the International Machinist Union #660.  He loved fishing, scratching lottery tickets, dirt track racing, and tinkering with cars.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in death by one sister: Mary Anne Krantz and two brothers: Donnie McGee and Mike McGee. 

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton with full military rites by the Ritual Team of VFW Post 1308 of Alton.
