Louida Hardesty

Louida Faye Hardesty, 93, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Integrity Healthcare of Godfrey.

Born on June 7, 1922 in Eldorado, she was the daughter of Herman Ray and Minerva Belle (Moore) Cunningham.

She worked as a sales associate for the S.S. Kreske Co. for 27 years before retiring.

On April 17, 1939 in St. Charles, MO, she married Denver Louis Hardesty, Sr.  He died December 28, 1987.

Surviving are a daughter, June Walker of Godfrey; son, Denver L. , Jr. (Ruth Ann) Hardesty of Godfrey; four grandchildren, Allan D. (Laura) Hardesty, Kathy L. Walker (Michael Hill), Melissa A. Millsap (Frank Hamilton), Denise L. (David) Peterson; five great grandchildren, Dustin (Brandi) Honchell, Corey Millsap, Geoffrey Millsap, Amanda Beckman, Lindsay Beckman (Harold White); eight great-great grandchidlren, Zoe, Noah and Ryker Honchell, Kiley and Emma White, Khloey, Kassidy and Ryan Bowman; brother, Frederick (Barbara) Cunningham of Florissant, MO; and sister, Helen B. Johnson of Terre Haute, IN.

Preceding in death were parents; husband; four brothers, Herman A., Charles S., William R. and Thomas A. Cunningham; and three sisters, Clarice L. Cambron, Nelda M. Riel and Orpha P. Cunningham.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Integrity Healthcare of Godfrey Activity Fund.
