Dale Neese

Cottage Hills 03/31/2016

Dale Neese, 80, passed away and went to be with the Lord at 5:06pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Helia Healthcare of Greenville. He was born on July 30, 1935, in Pleasant Hill, Illinois, the son of the late Edwin and Erma (Freeman) Neese. He married the former Mary Lou Herrin on June 11, 1955, in Cottage Hills and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2004. Survivors include one daughter and son in law: Briena and Shane May of Rosewood Heights, two sons and daughters in law: Bryan and Susie Neese of Cottage Hills, Bruce and Marla Neese of Greenville, two grandchildren: Tyler Neese and his wife: Rachel, Tanner Neese, two sisters and a brother in law: Carol Forman of San Diego, California, and Marilyn and Charles Corzine of Rosewood Heights.

He formerly owned and operated Neese Masonry in Cottage Hills. He enjoyed bee keeping, wood working, gardening, and hunting. He was an active member of Friendship General Baptist Church in East Alton. He read his Bible daily and loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one son: Brent Neese, one brother: Leon Neese, and a brother in law: Charles Forman.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 1pm until time of funeral services at 3pm on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. His son, Rev. Bruce Neese will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to the Helia Healthcare Activity Fund and can be accepted at the funeral home.
