Vicky L. File, 53, passed away at 5:01 am, Friday April 1, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.She was born in St. Louis, MO on July 19, 1962 the daughter of Mary Jane (Hartman) Marshall and Wayne and Peggy Williams.On June, 13, 1992, she married Maurice D. File in Plainview, IL.Vicky was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family, friends and hosting things at her home, which she loved.  She loved gardening and had a great love for animals.  She was a member of Godfrey First United Methodist Church and the Illinois Boots and Saddle Club.In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Ashley (Casey) Paris of Chapel Hill, TN and Kaitlyn File and her Fiancé Jason McAtee of Godfrey, IL; one grandson Teagan Paris; two sisters Donna (Mark) Drier and Rhonda (Robert) Cook; one brother Doug (Cheryl) Marshall; mother and father in law Dwight (Judy) File; numerous nieces nephews and extended family.She was Preceded in death by her step father Harry Marshall.In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Monday April 4, 2016 at Godfrey First United Methodist Church in Godfrey, IL.Funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Godfrey United Methodist Church with pastor Don Long officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.Memorials may be directed to the 5 A’s Animal Shelter.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
