Ada Johnson

Ada L. Johnson age 74  was born April 9, 1941 the daughter of the late Otis and Alvoid (Young) Watkins Sr.  She received her angel wings on Tuesday March 23, 2016 at 12:05 a.m. at her home.  She attended school in Denmark, TN. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Shirley Terry and LaKiesha Dorsey, a son Melvoid “Dwayne” Jones, 3 sisters Stella Greer, Eunice Umphries, and Willie Nevels, a grandson Marlon Johnson.  She is survived by her children Lynda (David) Wigfall of Alton; Loleatha (Vincent)  Rodgers of St. Louis; Felesha Freeman, Ramona Johnson, Sandra Covington, Earl (Ann) Jones of Fort Worth TX; Donald and Donna Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Tanya Johnson and Robert Dorsey all of Alton; 4 brothers Otis Jr., George (Mary) John (Pat), Larry (Willie) Watkins and a brother-in-law George Umphries, 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.Visitation Tuesday March 29, 2016 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Cathy M. Williams & Sons Funeral Home in Alton.Burial Upper Alton Cemetery
