Beverly Margaret Valdez (Dennis), born on August 5, 1936, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, 7:40 a.m. at Alton Memorial Hospital. Beverly was the beloved wife of the late Frederico James Valdez and the cherished daughter of Bill and Mildred Dennis. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Sonny” Dennis, her son, Kenneth Stover, and her grandson, Joshua Stover.
Beverly is survived by her four sons: Ron Stover, Mark Stover, Paul Stover, and Robert Stover. She was a loving grandmother to Tashina Stover, Chelsea Stover, Carlie Stover, Savannah Stover, Kaytlin Stover, Noah Stover, Paul Stover, Jr., Shelby (Stover) Hall, Valerie Stover, John Lance Stover, Christopher Stover, and Christa Stover. Additionally, Beverly is survived by her step-son, Tony Valdez, and step-daughter, Sherry Torrez, as well as step-grandchildren Melanie (Torrez) Nagel, Tony Torrez, Miranda (Torrez) Cagle, Angelina Valdez, Alexander Valdez, and Xavier Valdez, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A devout Christian, Beverly dedicated much of her life to her faith and her community, including her contributions to the Mississippi Valley Christian School in Alton, IL. Known for her love of bear collecting and gardening, Beverly’s passions reflected her nurturing spirit and love for beauty. Her strong work ethic and zest for life inspired all who knew her.
Beverly was an amazing mother, grandmother, and a devoted wife. She shared a profound love with her husband, Fred, which was evident to all who knew them.
