Connie M. Winkle (nee Rutherford), 72, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home. She was born April 23, 1952, to the late John Rutherford and Peggy Farley (nee Austin).
Connie will be remembered for being a skilled entrepreneur having started the successful computerized embroidery company, Personalization Plus. She was adept at crafting, especially good at knitting and crochet. She often made hand-knitted quilts for her many loved ones, including children, grandchildren, nieces, and great-nieces. She had a lifelong love of Mickey Mouse and enjoyed going to New Douglas, Illinois, each summer with her husband, Gary, to enjoy time camping. She and Gary also were avid game players and played games like backgammon, Farkle, and many more, every afternoon. Connie also loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Winkle, who passed away on December 11, 2023, and parents, John and Peggy Farley. Surviving are her son, Andrew Weber (Ruthie), of Los Angeles, California, and their three children, Ethan, Megan, and Ariana; daughter, Kimberly Ehret (Jake), of Edwardsville, Illinois, and their three children, Ethan, Dominic, and Jamyson, brother, Mark Rutherford (Roxane), and sisters Cindy Meinardi (Michael) and Chris Dickenson (Randy).
Graveside Service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis at 11:15 am July 11, 2024.
