Daniel J. Wilson, 68, passed away 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
Born in Granite City on February 10, 1948, he was the son of Glorialee (Fike) Burnett and the late William Wilson.
A U.S. army veteran, he worked as a plate loader for the Olin Corporation-Winchester Division 45 years before retiring.
He married Joyce Grable on October 2, 1970 in East Alton. She survives.
Surviving also are a daughter, Cindy (Albert) Hazen of Alton; grandson, Jordan Bruce; and two sisters, Shari (Bob) Smith of Waterloo and Donna (Toby) Gomez of Granite City.
Preceding in death were his father; step-father, Norman Burnett; and two brothers, Bradley and Bruce Burnett.
Private services and burial will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
