Margie C. Watson (Morgan), age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Jerseyville Manor.
She was born to Russell and Verna (Gowin) Morgan in Alton, IL on August 25, 1939.
On November 1, 1957, she married Clark Watson, who preceded her in death July 3, 2023. Together they celebrated more than 65 years together.
She was a graduate of Jersey Community High School Class of 1957 and was employed at Owen-Illinois Glass from 1959 to 1980. She was a long-time resident of Grafton but moved to Godfrey and then Jerseyville after the 1993 Flood. She was a dedicated wife and mother and a member of the Kane Baptist Church
She is survived by a sister Betty Lou Morgan of Jerseyville, two brothers Richard Lynn (Judy) Morgan of Delhi, Clyde L. (Ursula) Morgan of Grafton; three children, D. Frank Watson (Cindy) of Chandler AZ, Gloria Watson Shewmaker (Kip) of Fosterburg, and Gregory Clark Watson (Kay) of West Liberty Ohio; Twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and the last of her beloved dogs, Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers: Donald Russell, Stanley Minor, James David and Paul Samuel Morgan, and a sister Deborah Kaye Cooperider.
