Martha Louise McPeak, 85, passed away at 8:29 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
Born March 30, 1930 in Alton, she was a daughter of Arthur T. and Martha (Villing) Eckhouse.
She married Leonard D. McPeak July 2, 1949 in Wood River. He passed away Apr. 24, 2009.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Kay (Mel) Eaker of Edwardsville and Kim (Dennis) Bedwell of Hartford; 2 sons, Steve (Dianne) McPeak of Belleville and Kenny (Jama) McPeak of Roxana; 9 grandchildren, Sean, Padraic and Collin McPeak, KaCee Stewart, Chase McPeak, Katie Moore, Lindsay Bedwell, Carly Davis, and Martha Dawson; 9 great grandchildren, Ella, Layla, McLaine and Georgia Moore, Caige Stewart, Kaylee, Benjamin and Aiden McPeak, and Griffin Davis; sisters Anita Forbes and Eileen Eckhouse, both of Godfrey; a brother, Ronnie Eckhouse of Alton; and sisters-in-law Katie (Jim) Davis of Rosewood Heights and Annabel Gibson of East Alton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Wood River, with Father James Flach as Celebrant.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, where she was a longtime parishioner.
