Ylicia Lopez, 35, passed away at 1:19 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born May 15, 1989 in Chula Vista, CA, the daughter of Baldemar Lopez and Sheila (Vinyard) Eagan. Ylicia was a 2008 graduate of Southwestern High School. She was a former employee at Tony’s Ranch House in Godfrey, and currently worked for Torhoerman Law Firm in Edwardsville. Ylicia deeply loved her family, friends, and her dog Rigby, AKA “Pigby”. She enjoyed fried pickles, sea turtles, and spent her last weekend getting sunburned at a Nascar Race. Besides her parents she is survived by two step fathers, Mark Eagan, and Bruce Bennett; step mother, Chris Lopez; maternal grandmother, Jeane Vinyard; paternal grandmother, Carol Lopez; two sisters, Tara Kinser (Richard), Sara Whorl (Caleb); a step sister, Kristen Huff (Zachary); four nephews, Brandon Kinser, Gavin Kinser, Caiden Whorl, Conlin Whorl and one niece, Mariah Kinser. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bill Vinyard and paternal grandfather, Tony Lopez and paternal grandmother, Lajuan Lopez. Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home.
