Madison County Community Development Information Session: Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan Each year, the City of Alton receives federal funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for community improvements. HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding provides decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities primarily for low- and moderate-income individuals. Please join Chris Kalter, CDBG Coordinator for Madison County, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, to hear about upcoming projects and provide your thoughts and feedback on future projects. Light refreshments will be served. If you cannot make the meeting, you can still contact Chris Kalter at cjkalter@madisoncountyil.gov or call 618-296-4955 to voice your comments, questions, or concerns. Although comments are accepted year-round, if you would like your comments included in Madison County’s report to HUD, please submit your thoughts by 4:00 p.m. on July 31, 2024.
