Jackie Kaylor

Jackie Lee Kaylor, 89, died at 5:04 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at his home in Dorchester, IL. Born September 7, 1934 in Peoria, Oklahoma, he was the son of Albert J. and Maude L. (Kepley) Kaylor. He retired as a truck driver for Teamsters Local. On July 12, 1953 he married the former Patricia Fowler in Fruitland, MO. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Barbara Ann Schmid (John) of Dorchester, two sons, Jackie David Kaylor (Judy) of Gillespie, and Larry Lee Kaylor (Tammy) of Walker, MO, six grandchildren, Jamie Kaylor (Miles Hart) of Gillespie, Jeffrey Kaylor (Keri) of Gillespie, Matt Schmid (Jami) of Dorchester, Johnny Schmid (Meghan) of St. Louis, MO, Amber Harbaugh (Chucky) of Gillespie, Amanda Ewin (Dereck) of Mont Claire, 10 great grandchildren, Kaylee Zenner (Quentin), Preston Kaylor, Jack W. Kaylor, Jackson Stevens, Jacob Stevens, Charley Schmid, Madison Wartman (Alec), Alesana Adams, Regan Harbaugh and Lucas Emery, and a brother, William R. Kaylor. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jackie Kaylor and a brother, James P. Kaylor. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
