Douglas McKechan

Douglas Bruce McKechan, 65, of Saint Louis, MO, died in Gillespie, IL, on Saturday, June 15, 2024.  He was born May 16, 1959, in Waukegan, IL to Robert Bruce McKechan & Margaret Pavlik McKechan.  He married  Valerie Rene Prince McKechan on May 20, 2000 in St. Louis, MO.  He was an attorney.  He is survived by his spouse, Valerie McKechan of St. Louis, MO, daughter, Chelsea Cottingham of Maryville, IL, grandchild, Oliver, siblings, Cathy (Ken) Largio of Gillespie, IL, Robin Smith of Gillespie, IL.  Douglas was preceded in death by his parents.  Friends may call on Monday, June 24, 2024 at SS Simon & Jude Church in Gillespie from 10:00 am until 12:00 p.m. with a memorial mass to follow at the church at 12:00 pm.  Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.  Memorials are suggested to wishes of the family.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.  Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
