Randall Lynn Slow, 68, passed away at 10:31 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born December 20, 1955 in Alton, the son of the late Elmore Brooks and Elaine (Bowers) Slow. He retired from Laclede Steel in Alton. Randall enjoyed canoeing and spending time outdoors, teaching his children and grandchildren the wonders of nature. On September 11, 2010 in Wood River, IL he married Jenny Johnson, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Manfred Slow (Megan Glanville) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Alexander Slow (Jessica) of Grafton, one daughter, Emily Howting (Bobby) of Edwardsville, five step children, Ben Allen of Milstadt, Jason Allen of Wood River, Elisabeth Lehr (Vince) of Roxana, Katie Pile (Danny) of Godfrey, Madeline Draper (Nick) of Riverton, IL, thirteen grandchildren, Nicholas Slow, Jaelyn Slow, Morgan Howting, Edward Allen, Jackson Allen, Susan Allen, Samuel Lehr, M.J. Lehr, Eden Lehr, Morgan Pile, Mason Pile, Triston Pile and Jayda Draper and one brother, Russell Slow of Hardin. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
